Not every game can achieve what Super Mario Bros has. Since the day it was released, it has been sold for millions of copies worldwide. It is fascinating, especially considering that its graphics quality is not as good as those of current games.

The first power-up that appears is the red mushroom. It makes you bigger and stronger. Mario is originally a plumber with a small body that is so powerless that you have to be very careful. You can jump on top of an enemy to defeat it, but don’t ever let any of them touch you. Just a light touch of an enemy is enough to end your life in the game.

After you consume a red mushroom, you grow strong enough to break a brick. And when an enemy touches you, your body goes back to the original size instead of dying on the spot.

It is easy to get the mushroom. Just jump to hit the bricks marked with question marks and perhaps you will get one.

While rushing to the end of the level, you can collect coins as many as possible to earn bonuses. Other than the coins that are floating in the air, you can also find more coins by entering some pipes. There are also secret bricks throughout the game that throw a coin every time you hit them. When there is no coin left in those bricks, their appearance will change and nothing will happen even if you hit them many times.

Invisible bricks contain coins too, but each of them only has one coin.

When you’re running, be careful with the pits. Each of them is bottomless. If you fall into one, either you have to start from the beginning of the level or from the last checkpoint.
