Varmintz Deluxe offers 10 distinct worlds to explore, each broken down into six levels that steadily ramp up the challenge. Right from the start, you can dive into Suburba Derbia and Western Ambush, two worlds that set the tone with playful yet tricky layouts. The other eight worlds, however, remain locked until you have proven your skill by guiding all five raccoons safely back to their nest.

The adventure in Varmintz Deluxe is never a smooth ride. There are obstacles everywhere that test both your patience and reflexes. Thorny plants stand in the way, wooden fences block progress, electric barriers spark danger, animals roam freely, crowds of people move back and forth, and wide rivers stretch across the landscape. It’s like everything is set up to make you fail to complete your mission.

In some levels, you’ll play in urban areas where the streets are filled with cars passing by at varying speeds. Moving quickly is as important as patience here, especially when you are surrounded from all directions. One wrong move and your racoon will end up losing a life as well as repeating the level. 

As there is no obligation to carry every egg back to the racoon’s nest, you can ignore the ones located in dangerous spots to increase your chance at surviving. That said, you should give it your best to get as many eggs as you can because you get an extra life every time you collect 50 eggs.

If you see a golden raccoon head, however, you should take it even if the risk is quite high. The item gives you an extra life instantly. 

Ice Cube is another item you should take when you see one, except when it is located in a risky spot. It’s kind of a spell that freezes everything for a few seconds, giving you a chance to escape a disadvantageous position.

The next two items that you should pay attention to during the game are Potion and Checkpoint. The first item is a power-up that makes your racoon immune to enemies, while the second one saves your time by reviving your character at its location instead of restarting from the very beginning of the level.
