Feeding Frenzy 2

Feeding Frenzy 2 continues the underwater adventure introduced in the original Feeding Frenzy. You still play as a hungry fish that spends its daily life on hunting and eating anything it can eat while avoiding larger fishes that would be happy to turn you into their lunch. As you keep eating, you will grow larger, and you can expand your menu. 

In every level, as you strive to become the top of the food chain, you will encounter new predators that you’ll have to swim away from until you grow in size. Sometimes you might find yourself cornered only to spot a power-up within your reach, giving you a chance to turn the tables.

Features and Highlights

60 Levels

Feeding Frenzy 2 features a total of 60 levels that gradually increase in difficulty. Each level introduces new challenges, new kinds of fishes, more menacing predators, and different underwater worlds. Some levels also include flying insects above the water like butterflies and mayflies. In one click, you can jump out of the water to eat them.

Power-Ups

It takes a while to grow your fish to a larger size, unless you manage to eat Golden Herring. There are also Shrink Shrooms that can speed up the growth phase a bit by shrinking nearby fish to a size you can gobble up in one satisfying bite, lightning bubbles that boost your movement speed and jump height, feeding fury bubbles that briefly freezes all other fish as you quickly dash through the screen to eat anything smaller, and more power-ups to deal with various challenges.

Abilities

While power-ups grant you a temporary super power, abilities are permanent once you unlock them. The first ability unlocked when you play Boris is a dash move. It can help you escape and snatch power-ups, but careless use can cost you a life. The second ability is also a double-edge sword. It allows you to inhale fish in front of you to swallow all of them at once, but you will end up as a meal if you inhale a larger fish by mistake. There are still other abilities that you can unlock by progressing through the levels.

Challenges

Larger fish are not the only challenges you will encounter in Feeding Frenzy 2. There are hazards like clams that lure you with treasures and falling mines that explode when you bump into any of them, as well as non-lethal challenges like flipping above the water that rewards you with style points and gathering bonus items to earn extra points.

Abilities are what set you apart from other fish, but even with that you are still powerless against larger fish. Most power-ups and abilities fall into either survival or growth boost category. Only a few give you a chance to gain the upper hand instantly for a very short period, like special red mushrooms.
